This is an image I’ve been pretty excited about posting, however I ended up re-processing it several times to get the panorama to stitch just how I wanted.
I’m really pleased with the end result and may have to hang this one on the wall!😁
I captured the image back in early August on my trip to Lake Tekapo. (Before I decided to move here)
It’s a two row panorama consisting of 27 portrait orientated frames. And yes that’s me front and center trying to remain as still as possible while balancing on a pointy rock.😂
It was shot through roughly a 180° angle, the center frames facing West where the milkyway formed an arc over the Southern Alps.
I was also delighted to have captured the strong red air glow that night. A residual luminescence of particles in the upper atmosphere having being ironised by the suns rays during the hours of daylight. 😍🌌
