One of the many highlights of our recent Bali trip was a visit to this stunning location. The secluded but utterly breathtaking Kelingking beach (dubbed T-Rex bay, can you tell why?😉). This is a remote attraction on the south western coast of Nusa Penida island. Around 45min from the town center of Toyapakeh by car or scooter. For roughly 2/3 of that journey however, the road is more pot hole than road.
None the less the view from the top of the limestone cliff is to die for and worth the effort. The track down to the beach is a labyrinth of rocky steps and loosely tied bamboo railings. The descent to is not one for the unfit or faint of heart as a certain amount rock climbing is required. I was timely enough to arrive during the evening golden hour and stayed till after sunset. There are elevated lookout platforms at the top of the cliff as well as a bar selling cold Bintangs as a thirst quencher after scrambling back up the cliff! 😁🍻
