The Milford sound highway is an attraction on it’s own.
One of the most scenic roads in NZ.
So many incredible lookouts, lakes and Waterfalls along the way. Not to mention a multitude of world renowned walking tracks through some of the lushest bush on the planet.
This photo is from the lake Marian track.
Unfortunately at our time of visit the track was closed off past the waterfall due to walkway damage.
None the less. The short walk to Marian falls was worth the effort.
