Lindis Pass. The grand range of massive tussocky rolling hills!
On the road to Wanaka after departing Mt Cook we stopped to admire this view coming down the western side of the Lindis Pass. About 30 minutes before sunset, the low angle of light throwing shadows on the contours of the hills looked incredible!
The Lindis pass is the highest point on the South Island’s state highway network, and the second highest point on the New Zealand state highway network, after the Desert Road (SH 1) in the Central North Island.
