Another image from my numerous visits to Whale bay. On the Tuesday morning, I headed out at around 430am with the intention of shooting a panorama(work in progress). The milky way core would be horizontal and form an arch with the horizon in the early hours.
I finishing capturing the pano and decided to recompose for a few single landscape shots. This image was shot at 620am. Right on the cusp between night and dawn. The tiny amount of sunlight spilling over the horizon was just enough to illuminate the top of the clouds in the distance, but not enough to wipe out the detail in the sky. 😍👌🏼
