This was one of those occasions when doubtful optimism is handsomely rewarded.
I travelled to the coromandel last weekend having planned a milky way shoot at cathedral cove on Saturday night. Everything was planned out. The only variable was the weather.
Well Saturday’s weather was nothing but cloud and drizzle. I almost gave up hope of having clear skies at night, but despite an uncertain forecast the clouds moved on and left a stunningly clear and starry sky for us to be able to follow through with our photo shoot. 😃👌
This image is a single frame captured with my Sony A7ii & Samyang 14mm f2.8 lens.
I used an LED light source to illuminate the face of the arch, and a tungsten torch to light the inside of the arch.
