Last week I was excited to collect my second lot of prints.
The first is a variation of “Sea Creature”, my framed black and white image.
“Sea Creature #2” has the same basic composition, but a shutter speed 10x faster than the original framed image.
This gives the image a much more dynamic feel.
The slight amount of motion blur allows the viewer to perceive the movement of the waves around the stationary foreground.
This image is printed on high quality canvas and stretched onto a 19 x 14 x 1.5 inch wooden frame.
The next is an image I’ve named “My Secret Place”
I discovered this mossy creek a few months ago while on a bush walk.
I used a long exposure of around 2.5 seconds to smooth the movement of the water and the final image was focus stacked using 3 images taken at different focal planes to achieve maximum sharpness and infinite depth of field.
I have to say I’m over the moon with how this image looks on canvas with a black boarder.
This canvas has also been stretched on a 19 x 14 x 1.5 inch frame.
Thirdly is a canvas print of an image I’ve named “Wai Iti Sunset”
This photo was captured from Wai Iti stream at an opportunist passing moment, when the pink colour of dusk painted the sky and the reflections in the water.
This image has been printed on two different types of media.
One is a 18 x 12 x 1.5 inch stretched canvas. Shown in the photo here.
The other is an A3 sized print made on metallic lustre photographic paper and mounted on a Dibond infinity frame.
These images will be on display along with my other two pieces, Mosaic gallery, Whitianga.
