This image is a 14 frame hand held panorama I shot from the lookout point part way up the Remarkables ski area access road.
I was most interested in showing the ominous looking Lenticular cloud formation hovering above the valley.
Lenticular clouds are lens-shaped and normally develop on the downwind side of a mountain or mountain range. This occurs when stable, moist air flows over a mountain, creating a series of oscillating waves.
